Go Live Punchlist
Below is a streamlined list of task that need to be completed for your website to go live. The list is divided into two sections:
- Pre-Work - A pre-work section of tasks to be completed to prepare to work with a technician from hpCommerce Software.
- Work Session - The second section is a list of tasks that will be completed in one work session with a technician from hpCommerce Software.
Once the Work Session is completed your website will be ready to put into production as soon as you approve it to be launched.
Pre-Work
Task | Responsible | Notes
Images for "Slide Show" widget | Grand Prix Auto | On your website design you have specified a slide show that appears at the top of your site. Currently there is just one "slide". You can specify as many slides as you want. Ideal image size is to have all of your images exactly the same size. The current slide is 1440 x 556 pixels and of resolution 96 dpi and of type JPG. You can design these images yourself or you can work with Emily to produce these images. These images will be used in the "Work Session" to update the Slide Show widget.
Domain registration | Grand Prix Auto | Procuring your domain and maintaining the domain registration is your responsibility. You will receive annual notification from your domain registrar that your domain registration fees are due. These are your responsibility to maintain. Once your website is ready to be made "live" you will temporarily delegate access to Yellow Hat Web to maintain your domain settings. The purpose of this is to "point" your domain to your new website. This will be done by you sending an invitation to setup@yellowhatweb.com for Yellow Hat Web to be able to temporarily work with your domain at wherever your domain is registered. An example of how this is done if your domain is registered at GoDaddy can be found HERE. In many cases this is called "delegation".
